We’ll mosaic your house number! 4-Weeks (4 sessions)
If you have basic experience with mosaics, and are using the various tools, great! If not, no worries, you will have the opportunity to learn basic techniques during class.
This workshop will be held in 4 parts.
1st week – drawing and choosing the colours and materials.
2nd and 3th week – gluing the tiles over a mesh. At the end of 3th session, mesh will be install over cement board with thinset mortar.
4th week – grouting and prepare to hang in.
All materials and equipment for the workshop will be supplied but please feel free to bring any broken ceramics to personalise your piece.
Class covers cutting, proper adhesives, substrates, design/layout and grouting. Students are introduced to a wide variety of materials (to be used in during the class) .
You will work over 16,5”x8,5” cement board panels which are multifunctional tile substrates.
